Yiijon
On the subject of creation, I tend to collect life experiences as materials, mostly it is the relationship between oneself and society: the state of being temporarily offline in the city, the close relationship.
The consumption and satisfaction of a secret life, the strange and funny postures in life. These personal, intimate, and humorous feelings are probably the most natural for me, important components in life.
After the translation of life experiences into a visual language, the original realism of the event is separated. This process is like watching a play in the auditorium. The process of watching the play once again makes oneself projected in the puppet, the puppet no longer refers to a specific object, and the expression is reduced. Many emotions, no specific clothes and colors, abstracted from the original consciousness. Scenes and objects are like moving objects out of their original living space and into a pure white exhibition room or a black box theater eliminates the clarity of behavior, purpose. Just like the absurdity and unreality in real life. The event is temporarily detached from its original precise words, such as those errors in text, empty shots in dialogue, provide ambiguity and ambiguity narrative space.

Floating in a light, airy pool, I look up. We position our bodies, feeling the flow of balance. After a period of chaotic currents, we finally achieve harmonic frequency in this moment.
That day, they lay on the sofa as electronic music played on the television. Holding each other's hands, the music reverberated through their limbs, their bodies feeling as if suspended in a weightless space.
After half a year of chaos, which included concealment, anger, avoidance, and comparison, the dust slowly settled. They entered a state of stable equilibrium, resonating in harmonic frequency.

我想重現那個當下，最和諧的場景，但泥土卻是個一個緩慢的材料，在經過一個月到一個半月的製作期，那看似調整和諧的狀態卻已經改變，此刻我像是個生硬的演員，持續地配合與調整，來達到看似完美的平衡。有時候我是劇中的主角，有時候是形塑這場戲的指導者，有時候是不帶情緒的旁觀者。
I quietly step away from my role in the play, continuing to watch and perform, carefully adjusting the appearance to its best state. I want to recreate that moment, the most harmonious scene, but clay is a slow material.
After a production period of one to one and a half months, what seemed to be a harmonious state has already changed. At this moment, I am like a stiff actor, continuously cooperating and adjusting to achieve a seemingly perfect balance. Sometimes I am the protagonist in the play, sometimes the shaping this scene, and sometimes an emotionless bystander.

在這件作品中我想表現每個人的力量雖然微小，但社會的進步和改變是透過微小力量聚集在一起所創造的，蹺蹺板的一端象徵社會權力，另一端則是人民聚集在一起抗衡的力量。 其中一端我會用泥土捏塑一個人像，象徵社會權力，隨著時間經過，水分流失，泥土會變得更輕，蹺蹺板會往另一邊擺盪。另一種可能是泥土經過風吹雨淋後瓦解，蹺蹺板也會往另一邊擺盪。
In this piece, I aim to convey that although each individual's power is small, the progress and change in society are created through the accumulation of these small powers. One end of the seesaw symbolizes social power, while the other end represents the collective strength of people coming together to counterbalance it. At one end, I will sculpt a human figure out of clay, symbolizing social power.
As time passes, the clay will lose moisture and become lighter, causing the seesaw to tilt towards the other side. Alternatively, the clay might crumble due to wind and rain, also resulting in the seesaw tilting to the other side.

A 5¢ coin, the smallest denominator of Singapore’s money is a golden coin that no one gives a damn when found lying on a public street. Just like a regular person who’s not expected to amount to anything extraordinary. However, when a group of people come together to form a company, a society, a nation, the collective force becomes a power to be reckoned with.
